I was born in 1956 and am living in Kobe city, Japan. About 35 years ago, when I was a junior high school student, I met a very cheap guitar which was about three dollors. I bought my YAMAKI guitar with all of my money when I became a high school student. My YAMAKI guitar has been with me when I started to work, I married, I brought my children up, and now of course. Several years ago, as YAMAKI guitar's bridge pin was broken, I exchanged all pins to TUSQ That happening broght incredible sound change to my YAMAKI. Also, it brought me to guitar repair world.

I know that guitar play is much depend on player's skill, it shoule be something like born and natural. However, as I believe repaired guitar's sound covers player's technique, I did "cut and try" to bring nice sound. It has been a "continuous try", and I will continue to try forever. As a result, I got a amazing sound improvement. Is that true? I asked to myself, and I went to guitar shop to play typical vintage guitars to compare the sounds.

Later, I asked one of my friend who is my duo-unit partner, Jun Yoshimoto to check my guitar sound. He was very surprised and said that it is excellent! Then he asked me to repair some of his guitars. (See Repair File pages) My challenge makes someone happy. Since then, I believe my sensibility and repair technique is true.

I tried to put FISHMAN pickup on my YAMAKI guitar to record my guitar play into PC. I was very nurvous when I open a hole to put a connector on the bottom of the body. Soon, I got a chance to play the guitar in a live studio. I was very surprised with the soud which comes from PA speakers! --- "Is this my guitar play sound?" Finalli I got the asnswer --- "Guitar sound and expression method recovers the player's skill"

Originally, my line age seems to inheri artisan spirits. Challenges never give up untill consent to myself. I should have same DNAs in myself. My dream is to make my own guitar by myself, and play it with my best to impress someone.
